Classic Rock, Blues and FUN!
Flashback is
a classic rock and blues cover band based in Topeka, Kansas. We specialize in playing songs that people
will remember with a smile. Many of the
songs we play are from the “Peace and Love” era of the late 60’s and early 70’s
from artists such as Cream, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, and Creedence
Clearwater Revival. Then we give you a
healthy dose of Classic Rock from artists like ZZ Top, Joe Walsh, Lynyrd
Skynyrd, Eagles, Bad Co., and Deep Purple.
We give you a little of the Bues from Stevie Ray Vaughan, Robin Trower,
Robert Cray, etc. We are currently
adding more music from the more recent era.
We also mix in an assortment of “Party” songs that are proven
crowd-pleasers.
We make every effort to play the songs as
closely as possible to the way they were originally played and to imitate the
playing and singing styles of the original performers. We have made an effort to choose from the
best-known songs by each artist. Our
“Tribute” repertoire consists almost entirely of songs regularly heard on local
radio stations such as 99.3 The Eagle, V-100, 99.7 KY and 101 The Fox. We were finalists in 99.7 KY’s Battle of the Bands in
2002. We present a polished and
energetic performance with a sense of humor.
